Highly-prized chief executive Andy Haste increases shareholding 125%

RSA chief executive Andy Haste received a share windfall last year, more than doubling his holding from 2.11m shares held to 5.11m shares, the 2010 annual report reveals.

If Haste were to cash in the shares tomorrow, he would net a multi-millon pound package.

His share package is based around performance and targets. Haste also netted a cool £68,827 as an ITV non-executive director.

The share bonanza will fuel speculation that RSA wants to lock in its highly-sought after chief executive, whose performance at the helm of RSA has attracted glowing praise from the City.

Haste’s base salary and bonuses decreased from £2.32m to £2.18m.
