iCargo to boost underwriting process.

RSA has introduced new online tool iCargo to enhance its underwriting process.

Following broker feedback, RSA launched the online tool that allows brokers to quote, bind cover and issue documentation for SME cargo and goods in transit (GIT) insurance around the clock.

All cargo policies issued via iCargo use RSA's Simply Cargo policy form. The online tool is supported by a large team of marine insurance experts offering technical assistance where required. The cover can also be extended to insure goods at exhibitions, representatives' samples and engineers' tools and equipment.

Barry McConway, director of marine at RSA, said: "It is paramount that we provide brokers with the tools and support they need to do business. By introducing iCargo, we give brokers a faster, simpler service that still has all of the award winning aspects of RSA Marine such as our claims service and technical expertise."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
