RSA insured the Sony Warehouse in Enfield which was burnt down in the London riots, Insurance Times understands.
Crawford & Company are the loss adjuster involved, Insurance Times understands.
An RSA spokesman would not confirm or deny the loss, but said: "We don't comment on commercial customers who may or may not have insurance with us at this point in time.”
An industry source estimated the warehouse would be on cover for £20-£25m.
