Standard & Poor's has assigned its 'A plus' long-term counterparty credit and insurer financial strength ratings to Allianz' French and German Marine & Aviation divisions.
The ratings decision follows a review of the restructuring of the Allianz group's global marine and aviation business.
S&P said that the German-based unit benefits from the financial backing of its highly rated parent, Allianz AG.
It said the unit enjoys a strong business position within due to its substantial capacity and business expertise.
The outlook on both companies is stable.
