Household and MPPI insurance cover provider Select & Protect has joined the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries as an affiliate member.
Chief executive Simon Hood said: "Over the past year we have been paying particular attention to the implications of the forthcoming regulation of the general insurance and mortgage markets.
"Joining a strong organisation like the AMI enables us to take part in future discussions relating to the mortgage market and in particular our clients, mortgage intermediaries.
"We want to ensure that our views and expertise surrounding the sale of general insurance through the mortgage intermediary market are heard. In addition, we want to hear the views of mortgage intermediaries about developments they would like to see in the marketplace, so we want an interactive relationship with the AMI and its members.
"Overall, Select & Protect is keen to be at the forefront of any developments in this market and we believe that being a member of the AMI will ensure we can fulfill this aim."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
