Acquisition will help South Essex to expand into new specialist areas
South Essex Insurance Brokers (SEIB) has bought Cheltenham-based broker Lansdown Insurance.
The specialist insurance broker said the acquisition will enable it to widen its business into new specialist areas.
SEIB chief executive Barry Fehler said: “The business is a very good fit for us as they have numerous schemes in areas where we do not operate.
“This will extend our range of niche products that will also be available to our sub-brokers, especially their popular flat owners’ schemes.
“Our two businesses also have a very good cultural fit, with a strong focus on ethics and excellent customer service, which is extremely important to the management team here at SEIB.”
Lansdown Insurance Brokers senior partner Ray Gill added: “We are delighted to be joining forces with SEIB and wholeheartedly concur with Barry’s comments.”
Lansdown partners Ray Gill and Fred Invine will continue in the business, which will remain at its current offices in Cheltenham.
