Andy Nightingale hired as head of strategy & propositions

SSP has appointed Andy Nightingale to the new role of head of strategy and propositions for its insurer division.

Nightingale has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services IT and joins SSP from Chase where he was head of business development. He previously worked at CGI and Total Systems developing insurance IT propositions.

Andy Watts, director of SSP’s insurer division said: “We are delighted to welcome Andy to SSP. He brings a wealth of IT and commercial experience that will help us sustain the growth of the insurer systems business which has grown rapidly in size over the past two years.

"Andy has an exceptional track record and will drive the next phase of SSP’s investment to further develop our solutions to meet the needs of a rapidly changing insurance marketplace.”

Nightingale added: “I’m delighted to be joining SSP and to have the opportunity to take on the leadership of the division’s systems strategy. This is an exciting time to join SSP as there are growing signs that insurers are focusing their attention on streamlining and modernising their IT systems to improve their performance. I am looking forward to the chance to help the business grow significantly in the coming years and to broadening our client base.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
