Solicitor firms with up to 20 partners offered new coverage
London-based St Mary Underwriting has announced the launch of a new service, providing solicitor’s professional indemnity insurance for small-to-medium sized solicitor firms.
The scheme, insured by new ‘A’ rated capacity, provides up to £3million for any one claim per policy, which it claims is a coverage limit “over and above” the minimum indemnity limits as set out in the Solicitors’ Indemnity Rules 2010, the
St Mary will follow all qualifying insurers, offering coverage to firms with up to 20 partners.
“We firmly believe that this new scheme will prove extremely beneficial to small- to medium-sized solicitor practices which are seeking to enhance their existing levels of cover,” said St Mary’s lead underwriter Angus Ogg.
