Loss adjusters are sexy and live in expensive, architect-designed flats. So says the BBC's new TV series, Armadillo.
Based on a William Boyd novel, the drama's central character, Lorimer Black, is a loss adjuster.
Lorimer's boss is a foul-mouthed nutter and has set him up to investigate a hotel fire. The subcontractor was running late with £10,000 of liquidated damages per week written into the contract. The hotel was over-insured, at £180m, by fictional insurer Fortress Shore.
Hmmm. Sound like anyone you know?
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
