Specialist broker Thomas Winter has developed a stock transfer package for housing stock transfers.
The package, called Stock Transfer, covers the transfer of stock, defects, environmental liability insurance and future risk.
Thomas Winter managing director Michael Graham said: "Stock transfers can be fully insured for title. This protects both the local authority and the buyer and can be packaged together with an environmental liability and latent defect cover.
"The use of this range of insurance supports the business plan of the purchaser and makes it easier to satisfy lenders."
