Reames, Fretter and Alderton exit insurer

Exit, sign, leave, quit, resign

Swiftcover founder Robin Reames has left his role as personal lines chief claims officer at the insurer to become a consultant.

Reames’s leaving accompanies another Swiftcover founder and AXA Personal Lines customer services managing director Dave Fretter and AXA IT director Rod Alderton, formerly Swiftcover IT application development director.

Insurance Times understands that all three departures were voluntary.

The departures come six months after Swiftcover founder and AXA Personal Lines chief executive Steve Hardy stepped down.

An AXA Direct and Partnerships spokesman said: “Rod Alderton, IT director, and Dave Fretter, MD – customer service, both also chose late last year to seek new opportunities outside AXA Direct & Partnerships. We wish them all well and would like to thank them for their respective contributions to the business over many years. Various new executive appointments will be announced shortly.”
