Toad, a company that installs automotive technology products, has secured a contract to provide engineering services to the RAC.

Norwich Union and the RAC intend to install 75,000 telematics “black box” devices under a widening of Norwich union's Pay-As-You-Drive Insurance scheme.

Andrew Sarssam, director of sales, said: “Our engineers were involved in fitting pay-as-you-drive technology for Norwich Union during the pilot and evaluation stages, and extending the service now to a wider market with the RAC is a very exciting development, both for our business and for the industry as a whole”
