200 brokers sign up to travel scheme joint venture
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has announced that Tokio Marine Europe Insurance has joined the organisation as an Associate member.
BIBA Technical and Corporate Affairs Executive Graeme Trudgill said: “BIBA is delighted to welcome Tokio Marine Europe into the BIBA family. Tokio Marine Europe has made a commitment to working only through professional intermediaries and share our values of innovation, service excellence and customer satisfaction.
"We aim to support Tokio Marine Europe in their development into the regions; they are a new choice that many may not have been aware of in the past”.
Tokio Marine Europe Executive Operations Officer, Alastair Blundell, said: "We are delighted to be associated with BIBA, as Japan’s oldest and largest commercial insurer we hope to expand our broker base in the UK. We have a nimble, responsive team and a growing business with a lot to offer the membership.”
The recent BIBA and Tokio Marine Europe joint venture into the travel insurance scheme has seen over 200 brokers sign up in the first week.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
