Unions call off strike action after talks with TfL

The 48-hour tube strike scheduled to start today at 9.30pm has been cancelled.

The Transport Salaried Staffs Association (TSSA) and the Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) union had planned to hold the strike over the planned closure of station ticket offices.

But after talks with TfL officials today the strike action has been called off.

Last week the unions held a 48-hour strike which lasted from 9.30pm on Tuesday 4th until 9.30pm on Thursday 6th.
