UK General Insurance appoints Darren Kelly in the North East
UK General Insurance has appointed Darren Kelly business development manager for the North East region.
Kelly brings with him 24 years of experience in the insurance industry, including seven years as an account executive with ECS Insurance Brokers in Sheffield.
Prior to that he spent over 10 years in various roles with Zurich, including key account manager and channel manager, and six years with Royal Insurance.
Jason Leist, SME sales manager for UK General said: “We are delighted to welcome Darren on board to support and develop our broker relationships. Our stated aim is to deliver high quality specialist products and services to our customers, and to do so effectively requires us to build long term relationships with the UK’s independent brokers.”
Kelly said: “It is a great time to be joining the UK General team. I have been impressed by their renewed commitment to building broker relationships and their ambitious plans for growth. My first task will be to talk to our customers and understand what we can do to further improve our service.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
