Wellington has announced that, after the three Lloyd's capacity auctions for the 2007 year of account held this month, it has acquired additional capacity on Wellington Syndicate 2020 which takes its participation up to 70.2% (66.7% in 2006). Syndicate 2020 will underwrite up to a total of £850m of capacity in 2007 (subject to Lloyd's approval). The capacity was purchased at an average price of 3p per £ of capacity.
