The construction division of global insurers Willis has formed a specialist team to seek business opportunities in the reconstruction of Iraq.
David Turner, chief executive of the Willis UK Construction practice said: "Our industry and market placing expertise is complemented by the local knowledge provided by our two Arabic speaking construction specialists in Dubai."
Due to insufficient infrastructure Willis has waited until now to send its specialists to Iraq.
It is estimated that over $10 billion (£6 billion) worth of reconstruction projects will begin in Iraq within the next five years, all needing insurance and risk management services.
