Woodstock Insurance Brokers is due to complete the purchase of two books of general insurance business this week. Documents should be signed today.
Silhill Acceptances, a tax and mortgage specialist based in Wythall, has sold its household and private motor book. While IFA Derek Filmer of Maidstone has sold its household book.
The purchases represent a few hundred customers, but it brings Woodstock's client base to more than 15,000.
Woodstock managing director Tony Simper said the company wanted to buy mainly personal lines books of business .
