XL Capital reported a net income of $239.9m for the first quarter of 2003. This compares to a net income of $89.5m for the same period in 2002.
Net operating income for the quarter was $240.1m, over $40m up on the same period last year.
The combined operating ratio for the first quarter was 86.1% and net earned premium growth was 42%.
