Former Zurich personal lines head to start new role in January
Departed Zurich general insurance personal lines head Karl Bedlow will join Tesco Bank in January as managing director of insurance.
Tesco Bank chief executive Benny Higgins told staff yesterday: “I am delighted to announce that Karl Bedlow is appointed to the role of managing director, insurance, reporting to me. Karl will join the new executive committee of Tesco Bank and will be responsible for all aspects of our insurance products and services.”
It emerged on Tuesday that Bedlow had resigned from his role at Zurich to take a new job outside the company.
Zurich’s UK general insurance chief financial officer John Dyke will step into Bedlow’s old role. A replacement for Dyke will be named in due course.
