Lloyd’s broker Oxford Insurance Brokers managing director Neill Cotton (pictured) has joined CFC as commercial director. Cotton spent almost a decade at Oxford and will report to CFC marketing director Graeme Newman. Oxford’s current international division executive director Andy Billinge will take over as acting managing director.

Deal

Ageas has won the contract to underwrite travel insurance for John Lewis from AXA. Ageas UK managing director of retail Andy Watson said: “This new travel insurance arrangement sees us build on the already successful motor partnership we’ve held with John Lewis Insurance over the past four years.”

Launch

Giles has launched a new reinsurance division called EC3 Brokers. The new division will act as an independent London-based broker, servicing reinsurance and programme business clients. Patrick Sheehy has been named chief executive and Daniel Driscoll managing director.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
