Broker moves software to single platform

Cooke & Mason has switched its broking software from Applied and Open GI systems to Acturis.

The Brokerbility member now has 86 users across its Retford, Nottinghamshire, and Lincoln sites on a single system.

Director Adrian Hiley said using Acturis was “not only ahead of the competition now” but that additional developments would help it work smarter in the future.

He added: “Changing from two suppliers to a single platform was a big challenge. Having just gone live on Acturis, the project management, attention to detail, training and support throughout has been second to none. The process ran more smoothly than I expected and I’m excited about the benefits that Acturis will bring to our business.”

Jeff McCracken, Acturis sales and marketing manager, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Cooke & Mason. As well as successfully migrating all their commercial and personal lines business on to our system, we’ll be working closely with them to develop further web-based facilities to introduce a range of services to make it even easier for their clients to do business with them.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
