Insurer hopes to tap Manning Rountree’s US insurance experience

Business deal work handshake people

Admiral has appointed Manning Rountree as a non-executive director.

He has also joined the motor insurer’s risk committee.

Rountree is a senior executive at Bermuda-based global insurance group White Mountains, overseeing transactions, mergers and acquisitions and new business development.

Before joining White Mountains in 2004 he was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, focusing on insurance, asset management and financial services.

Admiral group chairman Alastair Lyons said: “Now that Admiral has both developing auto insurance and price comparison businesses in the United States I am delighted that someone of Manning’s experience in the US insurance sector has agreed to join our group board.

“We already much value his input as a member of the board of compare.com, our US price comparison business in which White Mountains has an investment.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
