Trio of hires enhance Art and motor expertise

AIG has recruited three staff to its private client group in order in an attempt to provide a "one stop" solution for high net worth clients (HNW).

Sophy Grindell joins from Hiscox Insurance where she was an underwriter in their art and private client division.

Paul Wilyman was previously with Groupama as the development underwriter in their motor HNW team and Simon Reid was new business underwriter for Zurich private clients.

The latest recruits enhance the company's specialist expertise in the art and motor markets. Last year, AIG developed a HNW proposition for the yacht market.

AIG private client group manager Ann Owen said the move was in response to growing demand for HNW products. She said: "We have seen substantial growth in our private client business over the last five years.

"In terms of both product and service we have developed a very compelling proposition for the high net worth market, and we are delighted that we have attracted these first class underwriters who will strengthen the team even further.
