3000 employees paid bonuses over two year period
AIG will pay as many as 3000 employees a total of $380m in bonuses this year under a plan approved by the company in March, Dow Jones reports.
Parts of the bonuses will be paid over two years.
"We need to hold onto talented people for the long haul," AIG spokesman Mark Herr said. Employees, he said, "only earn the long-term compensation by achieving business level goals. The payout happens over a period of time which inspires long-term thinking, decision-making and retention."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
