UK consultancy AIMS Group has purchased Willis Group Holdings' Safety Solutions business for an undisclosed amount.
Safety Solutions provides health and safety inspection, consultancy and training services to the construction sector and is based in Oxfordshire.
AIMS says that the purchase will significantly expand its constructions and training operations.
AIMS chief executive Graham Brown commented on the move: "It will give us the opportunity to offer the wider range of AIMS Consultancy services in areas such as asbestos, fire, water, disability and data management to Safety Solutions' customers, as part of a `one stop shop' service. It will also give us a much larger construction safety offering to existing AIMS customers."
Willis spokesman Douglas Elliot added: "As Willis focuses on its core activities of insurance broking, it is appropriate that Safety Solutions joins an organisation more closely aligned with its own activities."
