AIRMIC has updated and republished its guide to Directors’ & Officers’ insurance. AIRMIC said the new document revises the D&O guide, which was published in 2004 in response to soaring rates. Like its predecessor, it outlines the role of D&O insurance in a modern organisation, with advice on how to purchase cover efficiently.

The revisions take into account the Companies Act of 2006, especially the stronger codification of directors’ responsibilities enshrined in the measure.

“This is a fine tuning exercise rather than a radical rewrite,” said Technical Director Paul Hopkin, author of both guides. “It clarifies matters in light of recent legislation following requests from several AIRMIC members.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
