Legal Risk has released its Top 100 Professional Indemnity and Risk Management Survey 2006.
Alexander Forbes has retained its position as the leading PI broker in the UK , with a market share of 38%, down 1% from 2005. Marsh was second, with 31%, and Aon came third, with 9% of the market.
The survey also highlighted the trend towards buying more cover, an increase in the appointment of risk management specialists (almost 30% of respondents had appointed specialists, compared with 5.6% in 2004), and a move towards protecting partner assets by developing contractual limitation of liability and conversion to Limited Liability Partnerships.
