Sian Tarbuck will work to develop the academy and employees' progress
Allianz Insurance has appointed Sian Tarbuck as the new manager of its Underwriting Academy.
Tarbuck joined the Allianz Insurance human resources division in 2001. As underwriting academy manager she will be responsible for the further development of the Academy and will oversee employees’ progress towards achievement of professional qualifications.
The Underwriting Academy was introduced in 2000 when the company recognised that one key route to winning new business and improving their results would be through the further development of the technical skills in underwriting as one of their core disciplines.
Development modules are provided across four classes of business: commercial motor, commercial property and casualty, personal insurance and engineering, plus general subjects like financial awareness and trading skills.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
