Allianz Cornhill Engineering has developed a package designed to aid compliance with the updated Building Regulations Act.

The updates, which come into force next week, are intended to increase the energy efficiency standard of buildings by 20% as climate change becomes an increasing problem. The Act applies to 29 million new, existing and commercial properties.

Allianz Cornhill Engineering's Special Service is offering certificates, audits, monitoring and inspection services, in line with the requirements of the new Act.

Phil Godwin, Allianz Cornhill Engineering business manager, said: "We all have a role to play in protecting the environment. We are delighted to be taking the lead in developing this service to aid our clients with the implementation and management of the new rules. Brokers will be affording their customers a valuable service by keeping them informed and abreast of the changes."
