Kirwan previously spent time as director of Allianz Risk Transfer
Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) has appointed long time employee Brian Kirwan as its new chief executive.
Kirwan, who will start in his new role on October 1, was previously Regional Unit London Head of Market Management & Communications.
He will immediately report to Chief Regions & Markets Officer Carsten Scheffel.
Scheffel said: “With his strong background in Market Management and his strategic experience, he is the ideal person to drive AGCS UK forward.”
Kirwan has over four years’ experience at AGCS and previously worked in executive positions within the Allianz Risk Transfer division.
Scheffel added: “Brian will continue to strengthen the position of AGCS as a leading insurer and raise our profile. I am very much looking forward to continue to working with him and wish him every success.”
