Insurer has implemented 30,000 ideas generated by employees since 2006
Allianz Insurance has promoted Robin Stagg to innovation manager.
Stagg will work as part of the strategic innovation unit to embed innovation activity throughout Allianz.
He will develop and implement innovation strategy and ensure the latest research on the subject is included within Allianz.
Stagg joined Allianz on the claims management graduate programme in 2007 and his responsibilities have included managing change projects within the claims division.
Last year, Stagg was awarded the outstanding insurer claims individual of the year at the UK claims excellence awards 2011.
Allianz director of HR Phillip Gennoy said: “Since 2006 Allianz has implemented 30,000 ideas generated by its employees, delivering an annualised benefit of £15m. To continue this success it is vital that we have a strong team in place and Robin will be a welcomed addition.
“Robin brings with him a strong combination of insurance, innovation and business change skills. He has experience of working across a number of operational and project management roles and he will be an excellent addition to the innovation team.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
