Internet bank customer gets web-based mobile phone claims
Allianz’s expansive corporate partner division has secured a three-year deal with HSBC’s 70,000 customer phone and internet bank First Direct, to provide mobile phone insurance.
The arrangement, starting 1 June, is the latest in a series of partnerships since the companies signed a global strategic partnership agreement in 2008. Allianz has introduced special claims handling websites for First Direct's customers.
Service is key
Phil Carr, new business manager for Allianz Corporate Partner, said: "We are delighted that First Direct has selected us as the company best able to provide them with the product and levels of service they require.
“This partnership is a huge achievement and demonstrates the strength of our proposition and desire to be the number one preferred strategic partner for HSBC group in the UK.
“We are excited about the innovations we have implemented for First Direct's customers and are confident we can support them at every level to grow this account."
Understanding wins
Sarah Barraclough, segment manager, First Direct, added: "Allianz won the tender based upon their understanding of the First Direct brand and our commitment to customer service.
“This, along with their demonstration of product innovation and Allianz's open approach to doing business, made the decision a very easy one."
Allianz has made clear it intends to seek more and bigger corporate partner accounts.
