Deal expands presence in UK insurance software market

Applied Systems said it has bought Relay Software, a provider of insurance software to insurers and brokers in the Republic of Ireland.

Applied Systems said the deal extends its market position in both the U.S. and Canada, and expands its presencein the UK.

“This acquisition brings together the largest provider of broker management systems in the world with the leading provider of insurance automation in Ireland,” said Reid French, chief executive, Applied Systems.

“As the largest provider of insurance software to insurers and brokers in the Republic of Ireland, Relay has the largest panel of insurer connectivity available in the market and processes the vast majority of all broker-channel personal lines insurance policies in Ireland,” he said.

“Applied Systems is committed to making further investments in the Irish and broader UK markets.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
