Trade credit group reports strong growth

Trade credit insurer Atradius has reported a 56% increase in net profit to €164.2m (£131.7m) for 2007.

The firm’s gross insurance revenues grew 6.4% to €1,261.2m, with trade credit insurance growing 4.7%.

Revenue from the assumed reinsurance business improved to €83.8m from € 50m. Instalment credit protection revenues increased 7.3%.

Atradius chief executive Isidoro Undasaid: “Our growth strategy revolves around offering our customers products and services that are of value to them and providing them with the highest quality customer service possible. Our 2007 performance clearly demonstrates that this strategy is delivering results.”
