Several buyers interested in failed repair firm

Administrators for failed car glass firm Auto Windscreens are in serious talks with a potential buyer for the firm, The Sun reports.

However, consulting form Deloitte, which was appointed administrator on Monday after the firm failed, told the paper it was too early to say whether the deal would go through. If the bid is successful, The Sun said the firm coudl be up and running again by Monday.

A notice posted on Auto Windscreens' website yesterday by Deloitte administrators Chris Farrington, Matthew Cowlishaw and Dominic Wong said: "Since our appointment as joint administrators to the company on Monday afternoon, we are pleased to have received a number of enquiries from parties expressing interest in the Auto Windscreens business, and we are currently progressing discussions with a number of these parties."
