Keelan Westall will process and settle for amounts up to £2500 net of the excess

Aviva has awarded delegated authority to a UK commercial property broker to deal with Aviva claims in-house.

Keelan Westall is now able to process and settle for amounts up to £2500 net of the excess.

Aviva joins Zurich, which has the same arrangement with the Hampshire-based company, strengthening the broker’s position in the market place and helping to speed up the settlement process.

Keelan Westall claims manager, Sue Regan, said: “We had to undergo a series of stringent checks on our procedures and our staff, and will be subject to audits and quality checks on an ongoing basis.

Regan continued: “Our average claims settlement time for small claims under £2500 is now around nine weeks which is a huge benefit for brokers and their property owner clients.”

Keelan Westall will also be using the services of Merlin Claims who will validate claims, assess the work required and provide estimates through their network of building contractors, as well as arranging for repairs to be carried out.
