Julian Woodford will retain responsibility for Solvency II

Aviva Solvency II director Julian Woodford has taken on the additional role of UK and Ireland general insurance chief risk officer.

He replaces Angus Eaton, who was appointed as Aviva commercial lines managing director in December, following the departure of Ian Foy.

As chief risk officer, Woodford will be responsible for leading the risk management and governance agenda of the UK business.

He will retain his current responsibility for Solvency II.
