AXA is adding a suite of personal lines products to its e-trading platform AXA Business Risk (ABR) this month.

David Aiston, AXA regional director (North) said that travel and pet cover would be added to the platform in the third quarter of this year.

Aiston also said a mid net-value household product, a holiday home/second home product and a product for landlords were now accessible via the system.

Aiston said: "ABR has been embraced by our brokers for commercial lines and we hope to have virtually 100% e-enablement by the end of next year.

"But most brokers also deal with personal lines, so it makes sense to offer a platform that caters for both."

The insurer has also recruited 12 e-consultants who will work with brokers to encourage them to use the platform.

Aiston said: "This technology is available to use now and it will make life easier for all our brokers."

He added: "The e-consultants will explain the benefits of e-trading to those who haven't embraced the system as quickly as others."
