AXA highlights increasing costs of medical insurance overseas

The rising tide of ‘balcony jumper’ claims that has blighted travel insurers in the past has subsided so far this year, said one of the industry’s biggest travel insurers.

Insurance Times spoke to AXA’s travel intermediary and partner underwriting manager David Vincent about the recent phenomenon that has dogged the industry.

In the interview, he talks about the increasing cost of medical insurance overseas, fraud and the rising rates in the market.
