Beazley Group is set to begin underwriting commercial property business on an admitted basis in the US.
Mark Bernacki, who joined Beazley a year ago to lead the company's move in the admitted property market, will head the operation.
The underwriter said it would extend its service to offer mid-sized clients a level of service previously available only to the largest insurers.
