Manchester insurance brokers Bucklands this week celebrated its 80th year in business.
Senior partner, David Hudson, said 2000 has been one of its best financial years since 1980.
Formerly William Buckland & Co, the firm changed its name to Bucklands after a management buy-out two years ago.
Its three partners and 11 staff hosted a reception for the brokerage's clients at the 16th-century Chetham School of Music building in Manchester.
