Insurance industry flocks to Manchester for annual broker conference

The 2011 British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) conference opens today at the Manchester Central.

This year's conference, titled 'Opportunities in Adversity,' will be kicked off by keynote speaker Greg Case, president and chief executive of Aon. The exhibition opens at 8.30am.

The closing keynote session on Thursday will be delivered by Lord Alan Sugar.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
