New offering to be introduced to brokers at Biba conference

Zurich has announced plans to relaunch its property owners proposition, which is sold through brokers.

The existing proposition has been improved through the identification of five key market segments: residential estates, residential property, commercial and mixed property, developers with property, and international property.

It coincides with the 10-year anniversary of the insurer’s real estate insurance business.

The new proposition will be introduced to brokers at the Biba conference this week and rolled out over the coming weeks.

Zurich’s head of real estate insurance Roy Standish said: “Our 10-year anniversary in the real estate insurance market is a real milestone, and one we are celebrating through a demonstration of our continued commitment to brokers and customers.

“Identifying these key market segments allows us to tailor our products and services to suit the needs of our brokers and customers. We have also enhanced our underwriting to support this flexible approach. This simplified proposition will be complimented by having expert local market underwriters in each branch across our UK locations.

“This refreshed approach recognises the needs of our brokers and customers, and demonstrates our expertise and understanding of the complex real estate market.”
