Bike broker entrepreneur awarded honorary status

Carole Nash

Bike insurance entrepreneur Carole Nash was awarded the Order of the British Empire (OBE).

Nash sold her business, motorbike broker Carole Nash, to Groupama for £80m in 2006. The business is currently up for sale.

Carole Nash chief executive David Newman was among the first to offer his congratulations. “Carole herself has proven not only to be a fantastic entrepreneur but a lovely lady, and a real people person,” he said.

“This honour recognises one of her particularly admirable qualities; her generosity towards those less fortunate than herself and causes which very much depend upon such magnificent philanthropy.

“I’m absolutely delighted that her good works have been recognised by the Queen.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
