Bluefin has announced a string of internal promotions alongside changes to its structure as part of an ongoing development plan.

The firm has restructured its commercial division, appointing two new regional managing directors responsible for driving commercial growth in the UK, while Bluefin Solutions head Mike Owen’s role has been expanded to incorporate responsibility for personal lines.

Amy Smith has been appointed as head of marketing and public relations. She was formerly a senior marketing manager at Bluefin and will now report to Mike Owen.

Former Bluefin private client division head Tim Mortimer has been appointed as the regional managing director for the North, taking up his role with immediate effect.

His counterpart will be Andy White, who joins from Towergate Insurance and has been appointed to take up the equivalent position in the South. He will begin his role at Bluefin in November.

Bluefin chief executive Mike Bruce said: “The changes we are making across Bluefin enable us to fulfil the strategic goals that I outlined at the beginning of July and will benefit both our clients and our business.

“I am delighted to welcome Andy to Bluefin and want to congratulate Mike, Tim, and Amy on their new positions. Our people are integral to Bluefin’s success and these appointments highlight our dedication to attracting, developing and retaining the best talent in the market. I look forward to working with them to capitalise on our recent growth and to drive our business strategy forwards ensuring we fulfil our potential.”
