Preparing to go under the electronic hammer was a copy of Aeroplane Aviation Insurance History - Book Syndicate 800.
Even though the book is a first edition of the 1988 publication and includes two letters of authentication, this piece of history failed to attract any bids.
Surprisingly, one would have thought the details of the launch of aviation insurance in 1930 and the formation of the nucleus of Syndicate 800 would have clinched the deal.
