Insurer encourages face-to-face business

Insurer Brit has launched a walk-in “Trading Floors” scheme, allowing broker partners to use its offices for meeting underwriters and clients face-to-face.

The centres, currently available in Brit’s Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Birmingham offices, provide internet access and refreshments for informal meetings.

Simon Cooter, UK Distribution Director at Brit Insurance, said: “Developing good relationships with brokers has been the cornerstone of Brit Insurance’s strategy in the UK market and continues to be our top priority. Our dedicated underwriting centres provide a comfortable environment in which to meet key decision makers and make it easier to trade. This trading floor area is a natural development of our commitment to bring underwriters closer to our broker partners.”

The scheme will be extended to other offices over the next year.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
