Brit has reported full-year pre-tax profit for 2004 of £116.1m under IFRS accounting rules, up 13.3% on its level under the GAAP system of £102.5m. Earnings per share rose 17.2% to 8.73p
Matthew Scales, Brit finance director, said: "Our strong balance sheet is largely unchanged on the adoption of IFRS."
