Broker Budget has forecast it will exceed its retail acquisition target of 100,000 policies by June 2004.
Its upbeat forecast follows a succession of recent acquisitions, which have netted almost 20,000 new policies.
The company has recently acquired the personal lines business from JRD Partnership in Kilmarnock, Fred Roberts & Partners in Sunderland and Airdrie Insurance Services in the West of Scotland.
Budget retail director Matthew Donaldson said: "We have been overwhelmed with the number of brokers interested in talking to us.
"In fact, with a further five deals due to be signed in the next few weeks, we will be well on course to hit our targets."
